About Jn. Haakman en Zn. BV
Jn Haakman en Zn, established in 1940, has developed from a traditional West Frisian horticultural company with vegetables and flower bulbs into a modern bulb growing company, specialized in tulips and miscellaneous bulbs.
Besides the cultivation of these crops for bulb production, Jn Haakman en Zn is active as a forcer of tulips all the year round. However, their most important activity is the export of these main crops to the professional user all over the world.
In their modern 8800 mē premises with 13 cooling cells at Wervershoof, every temperature treatment can be given. In addition to this, ultramodern cells are available in the direct vicinity of the principal establishment. More than 100 million tulips bulbs can be stored and prepared at the same time.
Next to the buildings there are 5,000 mē of greenhouses in which the forcing of tulips takes place.
Both buildings and greenhouses are equipped with advanced monitoring equipment and fitted to the latest logistical requirements.
