We would like to supply our customers with an excellent quality product all year round and it is for this reason that we set up Haakman New Zealand bulbs (HNZB) in 1999. As HNZB is in the southern hemisphere, the tulips flower from mid-October, which, after all, is spring there. The harvest starts at the end of December and the bulbs are highly suited to forcing from September through to the end of December. This means they also fit in with forcing programmes for occasions like Halloween, Pink Ribbon, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
HNZB is located in Edendale on the South Island and is mainly involved in cultivating tulip bulbs. We cultivate around 20 varieties on 30 hectare of perfectly tilled land.
The same excellent quality as in the Netherlands
HNZB is a branch of Haakman Flowerbulbs in the Netherlands. This means that you can count on the same top quality and the same careful preparation as in the Netherlands. Whether our bulbs are from the Netherlands or New Zealand, their quality is outstanding.
